Furniture Delivery in Edmonton: Zones, Timing & What to Expect
Free delivery, reduced-fee delivery, white-glove, assembly. Here's everything Edmonton-area shoppers should know before scheduling a delivery from a furniture store.

Furniture is one of the few things you buy that someone else has to physically move into your house. Done well, you don't think about it. Done badly, it's a memorable disaster. Here's what every Edmonton-area shopper should know about furniture delivery before signing anything.
Free-delivery zones at Gateway Furniture include Edmonton proper, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Leduc, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Fort Saskatchewan on orders that meet our minimum. If you're further out — Devon, Morinville, Calmar — we'll quote you a small flat fee and still send our own crew.
White-glove is the default, not the upgrade. Our two-person crew brings the piece into the room of your choice, performs any required light assembly, levels it, and removes all packaging when they leave. Some retailers call this an "upgrade" and charge $200 extra. We just call it delivery.
Lead times depend on stock. In-stock items typically deliver within 5–7 business days. Special-order pieces are 2–4 weeks for standard finishes, 8–12 weeks for custom orders coming from the manufacturer. We'll give you a real estimate at the time of purchase and update you when the truck is loaded.
Inspect on arrival. Walk around the piece while the crew is still there. If anything's wrong — a scuff, a scratch, the wrong colour — we'd much rather fix it before they leave than have to come back. Damage in transit is rare with white-glove but it does happen.
Access matters more than people expect. Narrow doorways, tight stairwells, walk-up condos, low ceilings in elevators — all of these affect what we can deliver and how. If you're in a building with delivery restrictions, let us know when you place the order; we'll book the freight elevator and confirm clearances ahead of time.
