What we collect, and why.
Gateway Furniture Store Ltd. follows Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it.

1. What we collect
You give us: your name, email, phone, delivery address, and the details of any quote request or enquiry you send us. We do not process payments through this website, so we never collect or store credit card numbers online — payment is completed in our showroom or by arrangement with our sales team.
Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed) and a small set of cookies described below.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your quote request or enquiry.
- To arrange delivery and coordinate your order.
- If you opt in, to send newsletters and event invitations (unsubscribe link in every email).
- To handle warranty claims and customer service.
- To detect fraud and protect the site.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with: our delivery partners (name, address, phone for delivery coordination) and our email provider Resend (for quote-request follow-ups and newsletter emails). We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
4. Cookies
We use a small set of first-party cookies for basic site functionality and aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics — IP addresses are anonymized). We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for seven years to meet Canadian tax law. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
6. Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion (subject to legal record-keeping requirements). Email info@gatewayfurniture.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be flagged at the top of this page and announced to newsletter subscribers if they affect how we handle your data.
